ザンビア日記(Miyoshi@Zambia)・・・いま日本。

式根島での宝探しがきっかけで、ARG(代替現実ゲーム)のシンポジウムに参加してきました。式根でのイベントについても紹介できて、また新しい開発ツールとしても勉強することができました。ザンビアでも使ってみるかな。
Since I coordinated the CITO event in Shikinejima, I attended a symposium for ARG (Alternate Realistic Games). ARG has a lot of potentials even as a tool for international development. It could be applicable for my future project in Zambia.

時間ができたので、大学にいきました。この大学通りは季節が感じられて好きです。秋も深まり、そろそろ冬支度。
I've been walking along the university's avenue in Kunitachi, City to go to my university. I like this avenue where you can feel of joy of four seasons by these trees. Now it's going to be winter season.

学校が休みの日は、子守。室内では満足できないふーちゃんを連れ出す場所を探すのが大変。この日は西城沼公園。巨大迷路もあってなかなかよい。
On the no-school day, I have to take care of my daughter, who need to go out for playing. In Tokyo area, there is a few places I can take her out for play. Here is a park with some good attraction for free!


さらに学級閉鎖となり、毎日が日曜日の状態になってしまいました。妻は今月出産予定ということで、私がふーちゃんの付き人です。今日はあらかわ遊園にいきました。羊の背中に癒されているのでしょうか。私も癒されたい。
My daughter's school is closed due to influenza epidemic. So i have to take care even in weekday, to support my pregnant wife.

ふーちゃんと一緒に地元のこども祭りにいってきました。母校の神谷小学校の体育館で、わなげゲームとか、くじ引きとか、結構、面白かった。
I took my daughter Futaba to a carnival event for local children. The event was held in a gymnasium of the elementary school I graduated (27 years ago!). Futaba enjoyed games and raffles.

麹町のJICA本部(最近引っ越ししました)で、次のザンビアのプロジェクト(RESCAP)の実務者会議。次のプロジェクトは、ザンビア全土(特に田舎)を相手に、またまた大変そうだ。ところで、RESCAPって、何の略でしょう?
I attended a meeting in JICA HQ, Kojimachi, Tokyo for discussing the new project in Zambia after PaViDIA. The new project's name is "RESCAP". Is it a cap to rescue?

ふーちゃんがセレクトしたイチゴショートで、妻の誕生日のお祝い。そういえばザンビアで歌ったバースディソングには、2番目の歌詞で"How old are you now ～?" と歌うところがあったっけ。エグイですね。
Futaba and I celebrated Junko (my wife) birthday with strawberry cakes. Futaba sang a birthday song by singing "how old are you now ---!?". Mmm. A critical question!

山梨の猿橋というところで、CITO(宝探し+クリーン活動)に参加。式根のイベントに続いてですが、このクリーン活動は爽快感ありますねー。
I joined in CITO (Cache In Trash Out) event at Saruhashi, Yamanashi Pref. That was the next event after CITO in Shikinejima Island. I like CITO very much.

ザンビアで仲良しだったアッチャン(後姿)の家族と一緒に、新宿御苑にいきました。広い芝生でキック!(ってここは遊具禁止だよ)　 友達っていいなぁ。
My daughter enjoyed playing a ball with her friend in her Zambia days, At-chan, at Shinjuku Gyoen, Tokyo. Friendship lasts long.

名古屋大学の国際開発研究科で、特別講義・・・といっても内容はザンビアでの苦労話(プラス式根島との比較)が中心でした。まぁ、現場の大変さはわかってもらったでしょうか。
I lectured in a class of International Development Course of Nagoya University. I talked about my "bitter" experiences in Zambia.


授業の後は、学生を連れだして、ジオキャッシングの講義。カンボジアの学生も入って、近くのキャッシュを探しました。苦笑していました。
After the class, I took some students for lecturing "geocaching" with a cache set nearby the university. A student from Cambodia also joined the program with wry smile...

幼稚園での「イモ掘り大会」から無事、生還しました。大きなイモもとれたみたいだね。どうやって食べようかなぁ。焼き芋?　ふかしイモ?　
My daughter came back with sweet potatos from her school' event of potato harvesting. How can we eat them? Grilled? or Steamed?
